Juanita Casillas, RADT, AOD Counselor

Juanita Casillas, RADT

AOD Counselor

Full bio

Juanita Casillas is a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor with more than four years of experience walking alongside people in substance use recovery. She has worked across the full continuum of care, from detox and residential settings to intensive outpatient and PHP, in roles ranging from behavioral health technician to senior technician at programs including Malibu Detox and Residential, New Spirit Recovery, and Nova Vitae Center. That range means she has sat with people on their hardest first days and stayed with them as they rebuilt, so she understands what real recovery asks of a person.

At Golden State Rehab, Juanita facilitates individual and group sessions, helps clients recognize their triggers, and works with them to build the relapse-prevention and recovery plans that hold up after treatment. She is proficient in the KIPU EMR and trained in CIWA and COWS withdrawal monitoring, crisis de-escalation, and HIPAA-compliant documentation. She holds an Associate in Addiction Studies from Pierce College along with her RADT certification.

Her approach is steady, direct, and genuinely warm. Juanita meets people where they are, treats them with dignity, and helps them move from simply getting through the day toward a life that feels like their own again.
