Structured, full-day treatment that prepares you for lasting recovery
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the most intensive level of outpatient care available. Designed for individuals who need more support than traditional outpatient treatment but do not require 24-hour residential care, PHP provides a structured, full-day clinical environment 5 days per week.
At Golden State Rehab, our PHP runs Monday through Friday from approximately 9am to 3pm, offering approximately 6 hours of therapeutic programming each day. Clients return home or to a sober living environment each evening, maintaining some connection to daily life while receiving the intensive support they need to stabilize and heal.
Start TodayEvery day is purposefully structured to balance clinical depth with personal growth and community connection.
Begin each day grounded. Clients check in, set intentions, and connect with the group before the day's programming begins.
Private sessions with your primary therapist — the cornerstone of your personalized treatment plan.
CBT, DBT, or trauma-focused groups that teach practical coping tools for managing triggers, cravings, and emotions.
An open therapeutic group where clients share experiences, receive feedback, and build authentic community.
Rotating sessions in addiction education, mental health literacy, family systems, relapse prevention, and holistic wellness.
End each day centered. A brief mindfulness practice and group check-out reinforces the day's progress and sets the tone for evening.
PHP is the recommended starting point for many clients because it provides the structure and clinical depth needed to break through initial denial, stabilize mental health symptoms, and develop a foundation of recovery skills.
Many clients transition through multiple levels of care as they progress. Here's where PHP clients often go next.
