What is Spanish-speaking treatment?
It means you can get help for addiction or mental health without a language barrier. Someone answers our phone in Spanish, day or night. Our physicians are bilingual, and family sessions can be held in Spanish so the people at home can follow along.
Is Spanish-speaking care right for me or my family?
It's a good fit if Spanish is the language you feel in, even if you speak English at work. It also helps when your family would follow treatment better in Spanish.

Who will I talk to in Spanish?
Juanita Casillas, RADT, is an alcohol and drug counselor who speaks Spanish. She leads groups and one-on-one sessions, and you can work with her in Spanish. Our physicians are bilingual too, so you can talk about medication in your own language.
Juanita led every group with so much love and care. Her groups always felt safe, honest, and meaningful.

What happens when I call?
A Spanish speaker picks up at (424) 208-3120, at any hour. You can sort out most of the setup in that one call. There's no waiting list, and your first session can be just days away.

Can I do PHP or IOP with Spanish support?
Yes. Spanish speakers join both of our main programs, and the Spanish-speaking parts of your care come along at either level. That includes your work with Juanita and your visits with a bilingual physician.
If you need detox before you start, we line it up with a detox provider we trust and keep your place.

Weekdays from about 9am to 3pm, usually for two to four weeks.

IOP
Three hours at a time, a few days a week. There's an evening track for after work.

Alumni groups every week and a check-in each month, for one full year.

Does insurance pay the same for care in Spanish?
The language of your care doesn't change your coverage. What your plan pays depends on the plan and your medical need. We work with most major PPO plans. The benefits check is free, and someone can explain the results to you in Spanish.
Under California's SB 855 and federal parity law, health plans must cover medically necessary mental health and addiction care.

Can my family be part of treatment in Spanish?
Yes. Family sessions are offered in Spanish, so the people at home can understand treatment and learn how to help. With your written permission, we can keep them in the loop. Federal privacy rules cover your records, and your employer never hears from us.
