Outpatient addiction & mental health treatment — PHP, IOP & telehealth — about 20 minutes up the 405 corridor from the Marina.
Marina del Rey holds an unusual mix of people: professionals who commute from the harbor, remote workers running whole careers from waterfront apartments, and young renters drawn by the boats and the beach. Social life here tends to float on alcohol — sunset drinks at the dock, happy hours off Admiralty Way, weekend afternoons that blur into evenings. For most people it stays social. For some, drinking gradually stops feeling like a choice. If you've caught yourself wondering which of those you are, our alcohol treatment program was built for that exact question.
Golden State Rehab is a DHCS-licensed outpatient treatment center at 1964 Westwood Blvd in West Los Angeles — about 20 minutes up the 405 corridor from the Marina. We treat addiction and mental health through structured weekday programs, PHP and IOP, and you go home to your own bed every night. When the 405 says no, telehealth keeps your sessions on track. One thing we'll always be straight about: we are not a residential facility and do not run detox on-site. If you need medically supervised withdrawal first, we refer you to a licensed detox partner and hold your place for the day you finish.

We're at 1964 Westwood Blvd, Suite 425, between Santa Monica Blvd and Olympic Blvd in West Los Angeles — about seven miles northeast of the Marina, roughly 20 minutes by car outside rush hour.
Take Admiralty Way to Lincoln Blvd and head north. Turn right on Venice Blvd heading east, then left on Sepulveda Blvd going north. Turn right on Olympic Blvd east and left on Westwood Blvd — we're on the right. About 20 minutes in normal traffic.
Take the Marina Freeway (90) east and exit at Culver Blvd, then head north on Sepulveda Blvd or Overland Ave. Both cross Olympic Blvd within a few blocks of our building, and this route often moves better on weekday mornings.
Bus lines along the Lincoln Blvd and Sepulveda Blvd corridors link the Marina to the Westside grid, with connections to routes serving Westwood Blvd. It's a longer trip than driving, so tell our admissions team if you rely on transit — we'll plan session times around it.
Marina del Rey sits about seven miles southwest of our door. Heading our way, you'll pass Fisherman's Village and Burton Chace Park before cutting inland through Mar Vista. Suite 425 is on the fourth floor of the building.
Treatment hours are a small slice of the week — the rest needs a support network. Recovery meetings run regularly in Marina del Rey itself, with dozens more every week a short drive away in Venice and Culver City. Before you finish our program, we help you build a realistic meeting schedule you'll actually keep.
If your current living situation makes sobriety harder, structured housing can change the math. We coordinate sober living referrals across Southern California, including operators like Comeback Sober Living, and many clients pair a sober home with our PHP or IOP schedule.
Two free national resources worth saving: SAMHSA's confidential helpline at 1-800-662-4357 (24/7, English and Spanish) and the provider locator at FindTreatment.gov. In a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
And treatment here doesn't end with a discharge date — our alumni program keeps you connected to peers and staff for the long haul.

About seven miles. Our facility is at 1964 Westwood Blvd, Suite 425, in West Los Angeles, northeast of the Marina. Most clients drive it in roughly 20 minutes — Lincoln to Venice, Sepulveda north, then Olympic to Westwood Blvd. When traffic is bad, telehealth sessions can stand in for the drive.
Yes — outpatient treatment is designed around work. IOP runs about three hours per session, several days a week, with evening options for people on business hours. PHP is a fuller weekday commitment, but you still go home every night. Telehealth can cover sessions when deadlines or travel get in the way.
There is no exact line, and no webpage can diagnose you. But some patterns deserve attention: drinking more than you planned, needing alcohol to relax every evening, downplaying how much you drink, or trying to cut back and not managing it. If any of that feels familiar, call us — the assessment is free, confidential, and carries no obligation to enroll.
Inpatient, or residential, means living at a facility around the clock. Outpatient means attending structured treatment during the day and sleeping at home. Golden State Rehab is outpatient only — PHP, IOP, and telehealth. If our assessment shows you need residential care or medical detox first, we'll say so directly and refer you to a licensed facility.
Most major PPO plans — Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and others — cover some or all of the cost of outpatient addiction and mental health treatment. Every plan is different, so our admissions team verifies your benefits for free, usually within an hour, and walks you through the numbers before you decide.
Coverage varies by plan. Our admissions team verifies your exact benefits for free and explains your options honestly, without pressure.
