Outpatient addiction & mental health treatment — PHP, IOP & telehealth — about 15 minutes from Santa Monica, without leaving the Westside.
If you live in Santa Monica, getting serious help for addiction or a mental health condition doesn't have to mean leaving the Westside. Golden State Rehab sits at 1964 Westwood Blvd — a straight shot east on Olympic, roughly 15 minutes from downtown Santa Monica. You get full days or focused evenings of physician-led, DHCS-licensed treatment, then go home to sleep in your own bed. Many of our clients keep their jobs in the tech offices, hotels, restaurants, and healthcare settings along the coast the whole time they're with us.
One thing we'll always be straight about: we're an outpatient center. There are no beds here and no detox on site. If withdrawal management needs to happen first, we connect you with a licensed detox partner and hold your spot, so treatment begins the moment you're medically ready.

Head east on the 10 and take the Overland Ave exit. Go north to Olympic, then turn left on Westwood Blvd. Street and garage parking sit close to the building.
Big Blue Bus lines run along Santa Monica Blvd from downtown toward Westwood. Or ride the E Line from downtown Santa Monica to Westwood/Rancho Park station, about a mile and a half south of our door.
We sit between Santa Monica Blvd and Olympic on Westwood Blvd — roughly six miles inland from the Pier and Third Street Promenade, and south of UCLA. Suite 425 is on the fourth floor.
Santa Monica has one of the densest recovery-meeting scenes in Southern California. Twelve-step groups and other peer-support meetings run every day of the week across the city — early mornings near the beach, evenings in church halls and community rooms — so building a support routine close to home is realistic. Before you finish treatment, we help you map out a weekly meeting plan you'll actually keep.
If home isn't a stable place to recover right now, we refer clients to structured sober living homes across Southern California, including Comeback Sober Living. Pairing a substance-free household with our PHP or IOP schedule gives early recovery a much firmer footing.
Keep two national resources handy as well: SAMHSA's free, confidential helpline at 1-800-662-4357 answers 24/7 in English and Spanish, and FindTreatment.gov lists licensed providers nationwide. If you're in a mental health crisis, call or text 988 any time.
And finishing treatment isn't goodbye. Our alumni program keeps Santa Monica clients connected to peers and staff long after the last session.
We'd rather show you proof than ask for your trust. Every card below links to the evidence.
We hold California DHCS license #191643AP for outpatient treatment. Look us up in the state's provider directory — it takes about a minute.
Your care is directed by Dr. Eric Chaghouri, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist who trained at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.
LegitScript has certified us as a legitimate treatment provider, and we work with most major PPO insurance plans — benefits verified free before you decide anything.
We're at 1964 Westwood Blvd, Suite 425, Los Angeles, CA 90025 — about six miles east of downtown Santa Monica. Most drives take around 15 minutes via Olympic Blvd or the I-10, and Big Blue Bus lines along Santa Monica Blvd can get you here without a car.
Outpatient only. You come in for scheduled PHP, IOP, or telehealth sessions and go home afterward — there are no overnight beds and no on-site detox. If you need residential care or medically supervised withdrawal management first, we refer you to a licensed partner and hold your place until you're ready to start.
Yes. We treat substance use disorders, primary mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and dual diagnosis — when both occur at once. A board-certified psychiatrist oversees care, and your plan can combine individual therapy, group therapy, and medication management in one program.
Most likely, if you have a PPO plan. We work with Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and most other major PPOs, and living in Santa Monica doesn't affect your coverage. Our admissions team verifies your exact benefits for free — usually within an hour — before you commit to anything.
Many clients do exactly that. Our IOP includes evening tracks built for people who work daytime hours in Santa Monica's tech, hospitality, and healthcare workplaces, and telehealth sessions can fill in when the commute isn't possible. Treatment is scheduled around your work life, not instead of it.
Coverage varies by plan. Our admissions team verifies your exact benefits for free and explains your options honestly, without pressure.
